The Newcastle University Performance Research Network is looking for short creative responses to the idea of ‘liveness’ in performance. This call is open to anyone in the world, within or outside of the University.
The chosen responses will be hosted on a permanent online exhibition. Responses can be in any artistic form, but must be submitted as an audio file, video file, word document, or image.
We welcome applications from performers, artists, musicians, photographers, writers, film-makers, dancers, makers, and any other creative disciplines.
You may wish to consider some of the following questions:
What is liveness and why does it matter?
How do bodies interact in space and time?
Is liveness changing?
Funding is available for precarious academics and artists: 8 bursaries of £625 to cover time and expenses.
